I am committed to supporting you adopt a positive approach to dieting, encourage mindful eating and achieve a healthy relationship with food and body image. - Vasiliki
Hello!
My name is Vasiliki and I am a dedicated HCPC Registered NHS & Freelance Specialist Dietitian and the Founder of Wellness Bites Ltd, a private consultancy committed to delivering expert dietetic care on a personalised, one-on-one basis. Through my extensive experience working in various medical specialties across esteemed London NHS Trusts, I have honed my skills and knowledge to provide exceptional dietary advice. My aim is to empower you optimise your diet and enhance your overall health and wellbeing. Throughout my career as a Registered Dietitian, I have undergone specialist training in various conditions, such as the IBS- FODMAP training at King's College London and Diabetes training with the British Dietetic Association.
I currently work for the NHS as a Joint Specialist Community and PCN Dietitian where I get the opportunity to support a Primary Care Network - GP Alliance in South East London which consists of 6 GP surgeries as well as a major South East London Community Adult Dietetic service with the aim to provide a co-ordinated Nutrition and Dietetic service for the management of a variety of conditions. The main focus is Diabetes and the prevention of Diabetes, but the role also includes dietary management of gastro conditions, nutrition support, weight management and other conditions that require dietetic input to meet the local population's health needs. I see patients in a variety of settings including clinics, GP surgeries, patients' own homes and other settings.
My journey into nutrition began in my teens when I was diagnosed with IBS, leading me to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition at the London Metropolitan University. Despite growing up in a Mediterranean household with delicious and balanced meals, my condition necessitated dietary adjustments. Like many others, I have faced challenges and fluctuations in my approach to dieting.
My overarching goal is to guide you towards improving their eating habits, fostering comfort and creativity in the kitchen, and treating food with the utmost care. Rejecting the notion of 'good' or 'bad' foods, I believe in the importance of finding a balance that satisfies both the body and soul. I am committed to helping you navigate this balance, ensuring a positive and guilt-free approach to dieting that allows individuals to make the most of your life.
